Grizzly Time

The purpose of GRIZZLY TIME:
A place to build relationships, learn life skills, and create a community under the guidance of an adult who supports their social/emotional growth.

The month is broken into four types of lessons:

Week 1 - Heritage: Heritage lessons celebrate a variety of ethnicities and cultural groups during identified months of celebration. The goal of these lessons is to develop awareness of and appreciation for the varied communities that exist at Redmond Middle School and beyond.

Week 2 - Social Emotional Learning: This is also known as SEL and the lessons focus on building personal character.

Week 3: XELLO: Xello is the replacement curriculum for Career Counseling. Xello helps middle school students of all backgrounds, abilities, and aspirations become future ready.

Week 4: Mental Health: Potential topics of focus: Anxiety, Depression, Suicidality/Self-Harm, Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB), Risk and Protective Factors, Eating Disorders/Body Image. Topics are adjusted to needs being raised by students.
