Summer Office Hours
Summertime is just right around the corner! RMS will be open on school days from June 17-July 2 from 9am-1pm and we will reopen the office on August 9. If you have questions over the summer feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Redmond Middle School Traffic Revision Project
Prior to the Covid-19 shutdown in 2020, families who drove their student to RMS and approached the school from N.E. 104th St. might have encountered
significant traffic delays. The LWSD, working with the City of Redmond, has planned a traffic revision to help ease the backup on N.E. 104th St. The red “x” denotes the old driveway entrance and the green line indicates the new entrance. Construction on the project will begin on June 21 and is anticipated to end on August 20. The RMS North (“N”) parking lot will be closed during this time. If you plan to visit between June 21-August 20, please park in the South (“S”) parking lot (the entrance nearest the tennis courts).
As always, it is a great day to be part of the sleuth!
Principal Redmond Middle School
Update to Process for Completing Daily Digital Attestation through Skyward Family/Student Access for Middle School and High School Students All in-person students must complete a health check each day to attest that they have no symptoms of COVID-19 or close contacts with people who have tested positive for COVID-19. The important update is that we are asking students to complete attestation, even if they do not plan to attend school in-person on that day.
You can access more information about Attestation requirements here.
Thanks for your help in keeping RMS safe!
RMS Student Talent Show
Hello Grizzlies! The end of the year is coming up and we want to end this amazing school year with an outstanding talent show! Your student can submit their entry using this link to the Form, but they may only submit one entry per person/group. The following guidelines need to be met for their entry to accepted and put into the final video:
· Their video needs to be school appropriate.
· Their video should not be more than 3 minutes long.
· They need to make sure they say their name and grade in their video (if they are in a group, make sure all the member's names and grades are said in the video).
· Their video is required to be named in a specific format when saved and has been specified more in the last question of the Form. If their video does not meet these guidelines, it will not be accepted. Make sure they submit your entry by Wednesday, June 2nd at 11:59 P.M.
Thank you for participating and supporting our school spirit! The Talent Show Group from Leadership 2

RMS Science Team
The Science Olympiad Nationals results were released and our RMS team placed 17th among 60 other teams across the nation. Two events, Crime Busters and Dynamic Planet, placed in the top 6 and will receive medals. Four other events placed in the top 10. It is a big achievement and moment of pride for all of our students, who competed at the National level for the first time. Thanks for the support and encouragement and we look forward to your continuing support for the Scienct team next year!
News from the Library
Parent Volunteers Needed! RMS needs parent volunteers to help with Roll-In. We need volunteers to manage an initial receiving station and organize laptops in bins during in-school Roll-In. For Drive Through, volunteers will help with directing students to drop off locations, transporting laptops or other materials from outside to the library, and organizing laptops in bins.
Use the attached link to sign up, and check the newest Bear Tracks for more information. We appreciate all that PTSA does for us!
It’s time to look for any and all RMS and LWSD materials that might need to be returned: library books, textbooks, laptops, power cords, hotspots/power cords (if you have one), or classroom items you have borrowed from a teacher.
